Welcome to The Uniform Locker. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from our store. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Account Registration and Access
The Uniform Locker operates on a private store model. Access to our product catalog and pricing requires a pre-approved account created by our team. We do not offer guest checkout or open registration.
Account Creation: Customer accounts are created by The Uniform Locker staff following approval of a portal request or direct contact with our team.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Account Termination: We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion.
2. Product Information and Availability
We make every effort to display our products and their specifications as accurately as possible. However:
- Product colors may vary slightly from images due to monitor settings
- Product availability is subject to change without notice
- We reserve the right to limit quantities on any product
- Product specifications are provided by manufacturers and we cannot guarantee complete accuracy
3. Pricing and Payment
Custom Pricing: Product pricing is customized per customer account based on confirmed bids, confirmed quotes, contracts, volume, relationship, and product selection. Prices displayed in your account portal are specific to you and may differ from pricing shown to other customers.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Prices are confirmed at the time of order placement.
Payment Terms: Payment is due at the time of order unless otherwise arranged with our team. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout.
Tax: Applicable sales tax will be added to orders as required by law.
4. Customization and Embroidery Services
Custom Orders: Products with embroidery, alterations, or other customizations are made to order based on your specifications.
Approval Process: You are responsible for reviewing and approving all design proofs, artwork, and specifications before production begins. Once approved and production has started, changes may not be possible.
Artwork Requirements: You must have the legal right to use any logos, designs, or artwork submitted for customization. You agree to indemnify The Uniform Locker against any claims related to submitted artwork.
Non-Returnable: Customized products cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a manufacturing defect or error on our part.
5. Orders and Order Acceptance
Order Confirmation: Receipt of an order confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order for any reason.
Order Modifications: Once an order is placed, modifications may not be possible, especially for customized items. Contact us immediately at 207-536-0142 if you need to make changes.
Order Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel orders due to product unavailability, pricing errors, or other circumstances. If we cancel your order, we will notify you and issue a full refund.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping Methods: We ship orders via carriers of our choice unless specific arrangements are made.
Delivery Times: Estimated delivery times are approximate and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers or circumstances beyond our control.
Shipping Address: You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by you.
Risk of Loss: Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.
7. Returns and Exchanges
Please refer to our Return Policy page for detailed information about returns and exchanges. Custom or personalized items are generally not eligible for return unless defective.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Uniform Locker shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability for any claim related to products or services shall not exceed the amount paid for the product in question
- We are not liable for errors in product specifications provided by manufacturers
- We are not responsible for how products are used or worn once delivered
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of The Uniform Locker or Hanging by a Thread LLC and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

12. Dispute Resolution
Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts of Cumberland County, Maine.
Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at tony@theuniformlocker.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, network infrastructure failures, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our website following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
